Epson, the world’s printing and projection technology leader, is pleased to announce the new appointment of Mr. Yunyong Muneemongkoltorn as the Managing Director of Epson Thailand, effective from 1 April 2020 onward. With this appointment, Mr. Yunyong becomes the first local managing director in SEA region and also the first Thai to serve this role of Epson Thailand under supervision of Epson Singapore.
This appointment reflected the trust Epson Singapore has established over the years in the leadership of Mr. Yunyong in Epson Thailand, that has been in operation for almost three decades. He has now been entrusted with taking care of all aspects of business operation management and development in Epson Thailand.
In his new post, he will also take on the important mission of creating further positive business changes through implementation of B2B (business-to-business) strategy. Presently, Epson Thailand pursues the goal of staying on as Thailand’s inkjet printer and projector leader via its 'Double LEAD’ strategy. Designed to deliver value proposition to support businesses across all industries to achieve their sustainable growth, this strategy aims to encourage the switch from laser to high-performance inkjet printers in the business sector and the migration from analog to digital printing systems in the manufacturing sector. Moreover, the strategy seeks to revolutionise projector sector with the launch of laser projectors in place of lamp projectors. The strategy also aims to foster green office ecosystem in Thailand through the Heat-Free Campaign.
Mr. Yunyong joined Epson Thailand as a marketing executive for Indochina market in 1992. He was credited in leading Epson Thailand to the top position of Thailand's inkjet printer and projector markets and securing the number one position up until now. This has contributed to successful business expansion of Epson across Southeast Asia.
Under Epson Thailand’s supervision for the Indochina markets, Mr. Yunyong pioneered the entry into the Vietnamese market and has successfully built Epson’s popularity among businesses of all sizes. He has also led Epson Thailand into expanding its businesses in Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos and Pakistan. At present, Epson is one of the leading inkjet printer and projector brands in these countries.
