Bangkok--25 May--Betagro Group It aims at delivering over 100,000 kilograms of high quality sausages to various communities in Thailand. Betagro Group, Thailand’s leader in the food industry, in cooperation with the Saitarn Foundation, moves ahead with its BETAGRO #recover19# to stand by Thai people amidst the spread of COVID-19. Through this project, Betagro aims at delivering over 100,000 kilograms of high quality sausages to various communities in Thailand. Mr. Vasit Taepaisitphongse, Betagro Group’s Chief Executive Officer and President, led the Group’s management team and staff along with Betagro Global Brand Ambassadors who are world class professional golfers including Pro Chang - Mr. Thongchai Jaidee, Pro Arm - Mr. Kiradech Aphibarnrat, Pro Mo – Ms. Moriya Jutanugarn, and Pro May - Ms. Ariya Jutanugarn, to visit various local communities. The purposes are to offer Betagro’s moral support and to deliver over 100,000 kilograms of high quality sausage products to communities in Thailand through a special project named BETAGRO #recover19# to stand by Thai people amidst the spread of COVID-19. The Group hopes that this will help alleviate food burden on the people who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The first community visited on 19 May was Keha Thung Song Hong in Lak Si District, Bangkok. After this, the Group will continue to visit other communities around the country. “Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Betagro Group realizes the effect of the situation on many parties. It has, therefore, set up a special project called BETAGRO #recover19# to stand by Thai people amidst the spread of COVID-19 to provide moral support and emergency assistance through the three main entities: the government, the public health and the society,” Mr. Vasit Taepaisitphongse, Betagro Group’s Chief Executive Officer and President, explained. Betagro Group, Thailand’s leader in the food industry, has provided its support and responded to the government’s policy by manufacturing and delivering high quality and safe food products at fair prices and sufficient quantity to meet the needs of consumers. It has, also, distributed its products through various channels to cover all the areas in Thailand so that Thai people can have access to the Group’s products and services conveniently. In addition, Betagro provided its support to the public health sector by donating 5 million baht for the purchase of medical equipment as well as delivering 6,000 bottles of alcohol sanitizers and 30,000 kilograms of frozen fresh food ingredients to 25 hospitals nationwide with the hope that it could help alleviate the food burden on doctors, nurses and medical staff. Even though the COVID-19 situation in Thailand has improved, this crisis has still affected the quality of life of many people in the communities. Consequently, since 19 May 2020 Betagro Group in cooperation with the Saitarn Foundation has moved ahead with its BETAGRO #recover19 Phase 2 Project to help reduce the misery and food burden on the people in more than 80 communities nationwide. These communities include Bangkok, Nakhon Pathom, Suphan Buri, Prachin Buri, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phitsanulok, Kamphaeng Phet, Nakhon Ratchasima, Khon Kaen, Sakon Nakhon, Ubon Ratchathani, Rayong, Phetchaburi, Surat Thani, Chumphon and Ranong. “Betagro Group believes that during this current situation moral support is still very important to all of us. We, as Thailand’s leader in the food industry, therefore would like to use our expertise to help alleviate the burden on Thai people all over the country so that we can sail through this COVID-19 crisis together,” Mr. Vasit concluded.
