'Central Pattana’ proposes additional proactive measures following 'Central’s Hygiene & Safety Master Plan’ for businesses potentially stage-3 lockdown easing Bangkok--28 May--Central Pattana 'Central Pattana’ proposes additional proactive measures following 'Central’s Hygiene & Safety Master Plan’ for businesses potentially stage-3 lockdown easing and asks for new measures for 'Family Zone’ at restaurants, in case of additional government’s mandate Central Pattana Plc. (CPN), the operator and developer of centralwOrld, CentralPlaza, CentralFestival, Central Phuket and Central Village, Thailand’s first luxury outlet, proposes additional proactive measures for stores and businesses that are likely to be reopened when stage-3 lockdown eased. All CPN’s shopping centers are very well prepared with stringent screening at all touchpoints following 'Central’s Hygiene & Safety Master Plan’ in compliance with the guidelines given by the Ministry of Public Health and relevant authorities. CPN also proposes Family Dining Zone for families with over three members but no more than eight. The density limit in shopping centers is also adjusted to 1 person per 4 sq.m. and the operating hours are extended until 21.00 hrs. in response to consumers’ new normal behaviors. Ms. Wallaya Chirathivat, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of CPN, said: “We would like to thank all the relevant authorities in the government sector, particularly the PM and Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) for listening to our needs and placing trust in private sectors by loosening some enforcements. Since the government allowed the shopping centers to be reopened on May 17, 2020, CPN’s 33 shopping centers and our retailers have fully and consistently followed 'Central’s Hygiene & Safety Master Plan’ in order to ensure the safety of all places. Owing to public cooperation and their self-disciplined, the number of the infected in Thailand since the ease of the lockdown on May 17 until today (May 28) remains at a satisfactory level. This helps encourage people to carry on their normal lives more safely and increase their spending. Some have been able to resume their work which apparently help create cash flow in the national economy.” Ms. Wallaya added that Restaurants may experience some difficulties in providing services for customers. Therefore, the company would like to propose the additional measures for seating arrangement as follows: - Restaurants to provide Family Dining Zone for 3 but no more than 8 family members. They may share hot pot/pan but each person must use their own serving spoons. - In case of sharing plates, customers are advised to use their own serving spoons. - Standardise the table arrangement for distancing for every store to use the same rule by always keep at least 1-metre distancing between each table and individual distancing at same table. If the space is less than 1 meter, a table shield must be provided. - To extend dinner operating hours by 21:00 hrs. “The re-opening of businesses in the third phase will be strictly complied with the government’s mandate. However, in order to be proactively well prepared, the company has developed additional measures for business groups in the third phase when they resume their operations. The 10 business categories include: 1) Beauty businesses providing facial treatments 2) Beauty salons; hairdressing, haircutting, hair color will be allowed 3) Gyms 4) Theaters, cinemas 5) Skating, rollerblading and bowling facilities or other activities likewise 6) Karaoke, game centers and amusement parks 7) Outdoor water parks 8) Health and wellness centers; Thai massage 9) Buddhist amulet zone 10) Convention halls in the shopping centers” CPN’s 33 shopping centers are now open on Monday-Thursday from 11.00-20.00 hrs, on Friday-Saturday-Sunday and public holidays from 10.00-20.00 hrs., under stringent guidelines following 'Central’s Hygiene & Safety Master Plan’.
