Mr. Lavaron Sangsnit, Director–General of the Fiscal Policy Office and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Finance, stated that in the first 8 months of fiscal year 2020 (October 2019 – May 2020), the government has received 1,470,740 million baht of revenue on cash basis and disbursed 2,209,125 million baht of expenditure. To finance such deficit, the government has borrowed 392,442 million baht. Therefore, the treasury reserve at the end of May 2020 was at 265,565 million baht.
