Fujitsu Thailand Sets Up Security Operation Center - SOCaaS, Partnering with LogRhythm to Tap Enterprise Market

ข่าวเทคโนโลยี Friday November 6, 2020 14:36 —PRESS RELEASE LOCAL

Fujitsu has launched Security Operation Center as a Service (SOCaaS) to address the requirements of enterprises through partnership with LogRhythm. Equipped with cutting-edge technology and highly-experienced cybersecurity professionals, SOCaaS will be able to quickly and accurately detect and respond to digital threats and sustainably improve customers' cybersecurity posture by focusing on people, process and technology.

According to Mr. Toshiro Miura, Managing Director, Fujitsu (Thailand) Co., Ltd., the launch of Security Operation Center As a Service or SOCaaS is part of the company's technology service strategy for this year, especially in relation to the digital service DX-Modernize. To cater the needs of corporate customers, Fujitsu's dedicated team of security professionals will help monitor, detect, notify and provide consulting on cybersecurity incidents to companies. Customers do not have to pay a high initial cost for installing expensive security solutions. Instead, they can use the security as a service from Fujitsu and enjoy the full support from Fujitsu's well-trained professionals. This will help reduce IT costs and strengthen cybersecurity for customers more rapidly and efficiently.

"Fujitsu has realized that some organizations need a strong cybersecurity but are not ready or cannot afford to deploy and manage in-house solutions. Fujitsu SOCaaS will satisfy customers' cybersecurity requirements with three main components, i.e. specialized professionals (People), advanced management and 24x7 support (Process), and technology partnership with LogRhythm (Technology). We have extensive knowledge, capabilities and experiences for effectively responding to cyber threats. Cybersecurity Ventures, a US-based research firm focusing on cybersecurity, predicts that global damages related to ransomware will reach $20 billion or over 620 billion Baht in 2021, up 57X.

Therefore, if organizations are still unprepared to fight against existing and emerging threats, they will be exposed to defamation risks and property damages. Fujitsu SOCaaS will be there to help protect businesses that need to secure their IT infrastructure," Mr. Miura said.

Mr.Supreedee Wattanakaroon Deputy Head Managed Infrastructure Service System Integration Group, Fujitsu (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said Fujitsu's Security Operation Center as a Service (SOCaaS) is a fully managed service underpinned by a robust Security Intelligence Platform. By correlating events and information from multiple sources and using automated analytical techniques along with Fujitsu security experts to expose potential risks and threats, it accurately identifies, monitors and mitigates threats and enables customers to proactively act against them. Additionally, the evidence gathered through SOCaaS lessens the likelihood of breaches before they happen by detecting early Indicators of Compromise and using Threat Intelligence Services (TIS) Feeds, enabling rapid response and mitigation. SOCaaS will assess, investigate and resolve security incidents to minimize effects and damages on customers, and get prepared for potential attacks. When a cyber attack occurs, Fujitsu's Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) will come to investigate, assist and give advice in order to prevent similar attacks from re-occurring.

To enhance cybersecurity for their business, customers can rely on a wide range of security as a service offerings from Fujitsu including Advanced Threat Protection, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Enhanced Analytics & Threat Analytics, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM and SIEMaaS), and Threat Response. With its strong position and partnership in cybersecurity, Fujitsu believes that SOCaaS will help customers keep their business running smoothly without worrying about cyber threats by offering 24x7 monitoring, detection & response and protection services.

As a leading partner, LogRhythm provides technology support for Fujitsu's SOCaaS. Joanne Wong, Vice President, International Markets Sales, LogRhythm, said, "The top three barriers to many countries including Thailand's adoption of advanced security technology are lack of knowledge of process and technology, a shortage of trained personnel and compatibility issues with legacy systems, according to a recent CISO Benchmark study. Increasingly, we see businesses overcoming these barriers by working with market leading service providers to run and manage security on LogRhythm's platform. We're thrilled to work with an established company like Fujitsu which has the experience, maturity and strong reputation to handle the critical cyber security requirements of today's enterprises."
