Open an account via mobile phone safely without having to come to a branch with e-KYC and NDID service from CIMB Thai Bank.

Mr. Tan Keat Jin, Senior Executive Vice President, Head Consumer Banking of CIMB THAI Bank stated that Thai people are getting convenient financial services via the new service of opening new account. The digital platform as depositors are no longer required to go to branches. The customers can open accounts by themselves via mobile phone, the procedure is not complicated, and no need to fill out documents, just has any deposit account and register NDID service with one of 7 banks (KBank, BBL, SCB, TMB, BAY, KTB, KKP).

New account opening services more secure, help prevent spoofing or impersonating others to open an account, with digital proof of identity (e-KYC) and with Facial Recognition technology.

In addition, Customers can verify their identity across banks via the National Digital ID (NDID) platform. Those who have not registered via NDID can now start the first one registration today at a CIMB Thai branches with a single ID card.

CIMB Thai Bank opens NDID service at all branches nationwide. (This service is in service under the Bank of Thailand's Regulatory Sandbox).
