Bangkok--Feb 13--DHL
DHL Worldwide Express, the world's first international air express company and global industry leader, has enhanced its portfolio of export-made-easy services with the Asia-Pacific launch of "USA First," a new air express service to the United States.
USA First is being introduced in response to changing trade flows and shipping practices as Asian exporters increasingly target the US market and seek a more direct, fast and cost-effective way to deliver than traditional shipping methods can offer. It incorporates DHL's fully inclusive express pick-up, streamlined customs clearance and secure delivery services for one all-inclusive fee.
The new service is available to Thai exporters starting this July, and is being launched with an introductory promotion which includes prizes of round-trip air tickets to Los Angeles.
Tony Sloan, general manager of DHL International (Thailand) Ltd says: "The US market is of critical importance to the success of exporters across the region in these challenging economic times. As a trade facilitator and barometer of export trends, DHL has recognized Asian exporters' increasing need for more direct, fast and flexible deliveries to this market. That is why we have introduced USA First - to give exporters every possible advantage in the competitive race to deliver their products to the US as fast and as cost-effectively as possible."
Mr. Sloan says that DHL's first-class service to the US also extends to offering the latest shipment pick-up times across Asia.
"DHL's flexibility in using commercial airlines to ship to the US allows exporters more time to prepare their shipments before pick-up, as we are not hindered by having an aircraft waiting on the tarmac with a set departure time. Using DHL gives Asian exporters more time to prepare their shipments and still have them delivered next day across the US."
USA First is being launched across Asia-Pacific now and is supported by a pan-regional sales and marketing campaign which includes television and print advertising, direct marketing, sales promotion, and new packaging - all branded "USA First"
