Cementhai Logistics, a member of Cementhai Distribution Co., Ltd. (CDC), is poised for the transport of 7 million tons of Siam Cement Industry's exports cement, cashing in on the company's sophisticated IT backbone. Mr. Dusit Nontanakorn, President of CDC, under the Siam Cement Group, said Cementhai Logistics is taking responsibility for the shipment of Siam Cement Industry's cement exports, targeted at 7 million tons this year. To this end, cutting-edge IT technology is being utilized to ensure smooth and timely transport.
The cement will be sent via two shipping routes. 4.5 million tons of cement products including clinker, bulk cement, and bagged cement from Ta Luang, Khao Wong and Kaeng Khoi Plant will be dispatched to the United States, Europe, Africa, ASEAN, and to Indochina from the ports in Ayutthaya, Chon Buri, Rayong, and the Thai-Cambodia border.
The remaining 2.5 tons of cement products from the Thung Song Plant will be sent to Burma, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka via the ports in Krabi and Trang.
