Bangkok--Nov 5--BASF BASF (Thai) Limited, Thailand's leading manufacturer and distributor of chemicals, host the 6th BASF Thailand Classic Golf Tournament 1997 at Kiarti Thanee Country Club on 31 October 1997, with the objective of strengthening relations between the company's executives and VIP customers in Thailand. BASF (Thai) Limited, Thailand's leading chemicals manufacturer and distributor for over 30 years, is staging its annual activity "The 6th BASF Thailand Classic Golf Tournament 1997" in order to thank customers for their support and strengthen business relationships. The tournament tees off at Kiarti Thanee Country Club, Bangna Trad Km.29, at 11.00 a.m. The first "BASF Thailand Classic Golf Tournament" was played in 1992 at the initiation of Mr.Bruno Friesen, Chairman and Managing Director of BASF Group of Companies in Thailand. It subsequently became an annual event. Mr.Bruno Friesen disclosed an inspiration for hosting the golf tournament that: "The company realizes the importance of cultivating close relations and good understanding between customers and BASF staff at all levels.
