The Birth of Zen
Zen began operations on July 28, 1990, having registered under the name of Central Department Store, World Trade Center Branch. Managed by the Central Department Store team, it was initially headed by Mr. Suthilak Chirathivat and now by Ms. Busaba Chirathivat.
Located at the World Trade Center, Zen is divided into various departments including cosmetics, apparel, zen's and ladies' shoes and bags, home decoration, a supermarket, Super Sport and Marks & Spencer.
Policy
Zen is a modern, innovative department store that leads the fashion concept and expression in Bangkok, making it ideal for the younger generation. Zen targets fashionable customers in the 15-35 age group and offers a unique range of new, hard-to-find items. Through its focus on image rather than cost, Zen can offer the latest goods at affordable prices, making the store a one-stop shop for everything classy, chic and unique.
Zen has continued to innovate by offering house-brand items such as lines of clothing that incorporate labels like Zen Line, Watt, Tab, Attitude, Cambridge, as well as Trendy Zen bags and shoes, and Home Ideas home decor products.
Creating the right atmosphere is a key element in the Zen success story.
The store environment and merchandise displays are designed to encourage customers to relax and enjoy themselves while they shop.
Zen also provides special privileges to its customers through its exclusive Zen Card, which offers a 5% discount on purchases, plus regular fashion updates.
Zen Club, meanwhile, is a service for members who can join activities regularly organised by Zen on special occasions.
Social contributions
High-quality and trendy fashion is only the basic offer at Zen. Through the years, the store has also made continuous contributions towards the development of Thailand's young people by awarding scholarships, organising and participating in activities like the "Just Say No" anti-drug abuse campaign as well as numerous other projects promoting youth creativity.
