In response to the electric vehicle trend toward a low-carbon society, join us in advocating for Thailand to become a regional electric vehicle hub (EV Hub).

Sustainability drives motivation as global trends changes. The use of electric vehicles (EVs) is constantly on the rise in popularity throughout the world. According to data from the Thai Automobile Industry Association, electric vehicles have gained increased consumer attention in Thailand over the last year. It's worth noting that new registrations of electric vehicles are likely to grow exponentially as a result of numerous positive factors, such as electric vehicles that use clean energy to help combat global warming and are environmentally friendly. As a result of the foregoing, Informa Markets, as the market leader in trade shows and events for international business negotiations, has partnered with the government and private sectors to organize Electric Vehicle Asia (EVA) and international conferences. The 7th International Electric Vehicle Technology Conference and Exhibition (iEVTech 2022) is co-located with the ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week 2022 (ASEW) to jointly advance and respond to the energy and environmental transition toward a low-carbon society, while also establishing Thailand as the regional electric vehicle hub (EV Hub)

Dr. Twarath Sutabutr, Chief Inspector General, Ministry of Energy, stated, "Our goal is to accelerate Thailand's energy transition by collaborating with various sectors, including the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Transportation, and the Board of Investment or BOI, to jointly promote the Green Economy Model or BCG (Bio-Circular-Green Economy), to which the government's National Energy Plan (NEP 2022) has responded and driven. Additionally, the EV Board recently approved the 30@30 Policy Plan, which establishes a target for zero-emission vehicles, or ZEVs, to account for at least 30% of total automotive production by 2030 in order to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon society and position Thailand and key parts of the region (EV Hub) as leaders in electric vehicle manufacturing.

Mr. Krisda Utamote, President of Electric Vehicle Association of Thailand (EVAT), stated, "Electric Vehicle Association of Thailand (EVAT) has a strategic approach to promote work and support academic knowledge exchange in all forms of technology and innovations in electric vehicles, including consulting on regulations, standards, and operations in the development of electric vehicle technology in Thailand." We are committed to accelerating the development of Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEV) in accordance with the National EV Commission's goals, including Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) and Fuel Cell Electric vehicles (FCEVs) (FCEV)

Throughout the process of EVAT's collaboration with Informa Markets to organize the Electric Vehicle Asia (EVA) event, we hope to convey new knowledge and technology about clean energy vehicles. As a result, consumer demand for electric vehicles has increased significantly in recent years, particularly among new users. This upcoming event will create opportunities for an exchange of ideas on how to promote electric vehicle use, which the association hopes will occur with the public's support. There will be an increase in the number of electric vehicles on the road, as well as future development of batteries, including a charging infrastructure. "

According to Mr. Sanchai Noombunnam, General Manager of Informa Markets Thailand, the theme of Electric Vehicle Asia and iEVTech 2022 will be "Driving Towards A Sustainable Low Carbon Society Through E-Mobility," which refers to driving toward a sustainable low carbon society through clean energy vehicles. This time around, we're developing new concepts for electric vehicles in a variety of areas, including business solution platforms, energy-efficient infrastructure, power conversion systems, including critical battery components, and charging infrastructure. We hope that buyers and entrepreneurs from the automotive industry, both in Thailand and abroad, will attend the event to network and contribute to the future develop of electric vehicles.

"In collaboration with Electric Vehicle Asia (EVA) and ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week 2022, this is a significant opportunity to demonstrate to the world that Thailand is capable of establishing a clean society and effectively respond to the acceleration of climate change in order to achieve the shared goal of carbon better by 2050 and zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2065. We hope Thailand will continue to lead Asia in the future," concluded, Dr. Twarath.

Get ready with coming up for Electric Vehicle Asia and iEVTech 2022 will co-locate with ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week 2022, ASEAN's most comprehensive international exhibition and conference on renewable energy, energy efficiency, environmental and electric vehicle technology. Between September 14th and 16th, 2022, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), Bangkok, Thailand. For more information at www.asew-expo.com
