EXIM Thailand Joins Hands with BoT, FTI, TNSC and CMMU in Bringing Top X Class 1 Entrepreneurs on Field Trip to Explore Vietnam's International Trade Ecosystem and Business Networking

Dr. Benjarong Suwankiri, Senior Executive Vice President, Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand); Dr. Chaichan Charoensuk, Chairman of Thai National Shippers' Council (TNSC); Mr. Chartchai Panichewa, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI); Dr. Visit Limlurcha, Vice Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC) and Board of Trade of Thailand (BoT); and Asst. Prof. Dr. Phallapa Petison, Deputy Dean for Academic Services, the College of Management of Mahidol University (CMMU); led Top X entrepreneurs who had completed the Top X Executive Program, Class 1, a course for business owners and executives to drive export business development and enhancement, on a field trip to explore international trade ecosystem and market survey for in-depth self-access to market data under the collaboration among EXIM Thailand, the three business organizations and CMMU. The activity was presided over with opening speech delivered online by Mr. Arkhom Termpittayapaisith, Minister of Finance, and participated by Miss Wiraka Moodhitaporn, Consul-General of Royal Thai Consulate-General, Ho Chi Minh City, in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam during March 15-17, 2023.

The Thai entrepreneur team visited Cat Lai Port, a multi-purpose port of Ho Chi Minh City, Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park in Vung Tau, which is in a key economic zone of Vietnam linking the country's communication with other ASEAN members, and MM Mega Market, major distributor of consumer goods in Vietnam. Thai entrepreneurs also joined a networking activity with Vietnamese entrepreneurs, for their business expansion toward sustainable growth throughout the value chain of export sector. The negotiation generated trade value of over 200 million baht.
