Bangkok--Jun 25--Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide JPMorgan announced today the appointment of Vorapak Tanyawong as Senior Country Officer for Thailand. Vorapak will partner with Korn Chatikavanij, JPMorgan's Country Chairman for Thailand, in expanding the firm's banking franchise and local presence. As SCO, Vorapak will focus on client coverage and relationship management across a wide range of products and practices. "Khun Vorapak has an impressive banking background with over 15 years of experience in advising Thai clients on a wide range of capital markets and investment banking products and solutions. His deep relationships with corporate clients and government issuers will greatly complement our strong, broad-based business in Thailand where we see dynamic growth opportunities," said Ralph Parks, Chairman of JPMorgan, Asia Pacific. Vorapak joins JPMorgan from Deutsche Bank where he was the Co-Head of Global Markets and Head of Debt Capital Markets and Liability Management for Thailand. While at Deutsche Bank his achievements included leading the bank in winning every major G3 fixed income mandate from Thailand and IFRAsia's Thailand Bond House of the Year Award in 2003. Before joining Deutsche Bank in 2001, he spent 12 years with Bank of America holding various positions in investment banking, corporate finance and banking, capital raising, risk management and debt restructuring.
