SET Executive Vice President Mr. Suthichai Chitvanich announced that the SET has approved Kasikorn Securities Pcl. to operate its securities business under the SET Membership No.11 on July 29, 2005, using “KSEC” as its abbreviation.
KSEC’s qualifications meet the SET’s membership criteria in all aspects including its administration, staff, equipment and its practicing of good corporate governance and business ethics.
KSEC has Mr. Rapee Sucharitakul as its Chairman and Mr. Nattharin Talthong as Managing Director. Currently the company has THB300 mln. worth of paid-up capital and holds three securities licenses in securities brokerage, underwriting and advisory services.
On December 15, 2004, Kasikornbank Pcl. became the largest shareholder of Asset Plus Pcl. holding a 99.91% stake. As a result, Asset Plus was changed to Kasikorn Securities Pcl.
