Thanachart Securities Public Company Limited (Thanachart), a member of the Thanachart Group, has announced its business alliance with BNP Paribas Peregrine, the equity investment banking arm for Asia (ex-Japan) of BNP Paribas, one of the world’s leading financial institutions. The two companies will cooperate and provide services to each other in the areas of Investment Banking, Research, and Securities Brokerage involving international transactions. Thanachart believes that its alliance with BNP Paribas Peregrine will enhance its proficiency to a higher level of international standard and increase its ability to handle high quality international clients.
Mr. Suphadej Poonpipat, Chairman of Thanachart Securities, said, “BNP Paribas Peregrine and Thanachart Securities have agreed to cooperate in the field of Investment Banking, Research and Securities Brokerage Services. In Investment Banking, Thanachart will benefit from a foreign strategic alliance with an experienced market player to enhance its financial advisory capacity in taking on large-scale projects both domestically and internationally. In Research, with the support of BNP Paribas Peregrine, Thanachart will be able to conduct more in-depth analysis and upgrade its research to a higher international standard for the benefit of investors. BNP Paribas Peregrine will distribute the research prepared by Thanachart to its foreign institutional clients in Asia, Europe and the US. Lastly, regarding Securities Brokerage we believe that our market share will increase as a result of our cooperation alliance with BNP Paribas.”
