The President of the Market for Alternative Investment (mai), Mr. Vichate Tantiwanich, said that the mai will participate in the ‘Business Fair 2005’ at the Plenary Hall, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) on August 12 — 14, 2005. At the Fair, the mai will provide an opportunity for entrepreneurs who participated in its ‘Be Smart...Be A Star’ program to meet with potential partners, e.g., the SMEs Venture Capital Fund, the Office for SMEs Promotion, and several venture capitalists.
The ‘Be Smart…Be A Star’ program was a workshop exclusively held for entrepreneurs, instructing them how to write and propose business plans more effectively. The project was held between June — July 2005 under the collaboration of the mai, the SMEs Venture Capital Fund, the Office for SMEs Promotion, Krungthep Turakij newspaper, and Thammasat University’s Small Business Clinic.
The mai President continued, “Visitors going to the Business Fair shouldn’t miss our two seminar sessions held at Plenary Hall 3. One of them is “Star Businesses That Survived a Crisis” featuring top executives of mai-listed companies who’ll share their experiences in building their businesses, what they encountered and how they overcame their problems, enabling them to get their companies listed on the mai. Furthermore, they’ll be discussing how to maintain a respectable operational performance.”
The executives who’ll be joining this session include Mr. Theera Poomsanoh, Director and Managing Director of C.I. Group Pcl.; Mr. Pakorn Borimasporn, Chief Executive Officer of Lighting & Equipment Pcl.’ and Mr. Sombat Anuntarumporn, Chairman and Managing Director of Interlink Communication Pcl.
People who are looking for investment opportunities in companies that could gain from the current stage of the economic cycle are encouraged to attend “Catching Stock Trends…Investing Smart”.
