Bangkok Bank signed agreements worth more than 1.2 billion Baht for home loans at the four-day Home Builders Fair held at the Queen Sirikit Convention Centre last weekend.
Bangkok Bank Executive Vice President Ruchanee Nopmuang said the bank’s range of special mortgage offers proved extremely popular.
“The fair has been an excellent opportunity to introduce people to the bank’s services which can help them build their dream home. It’s the first time Bangkok Bank has joined the fair and it’s been rewarding to see how much interest it’s attracted,” she said.
The bank offered four home loan choices at the fair, with fixed rates of one to three years and a discounted floating mortgage rate. Bangkok Bank waived the appraisal, administration and milestone inspection fees for customers who borrowed a Bualuang Home Loan at the fair.
“Bangkok Bank is keen to provide lending to people who build their own homes, as this gives them the freedom to build a house which is ideally suited to them. Instead of being given as a lump sum, the loan money is paid in instalments as the house is being progressively built,” she said. “This means they have a regular flow of money to pay for the work as it is done.”
The Home Builders Fair is organized by the Home Builders Association and is a showcase for banks, construction material suppliers, more than 30 leading construction companies, and interior and design companies.
