The Thai Eco-tourism & Adventure Travel Association (TEATA) is boldly moving into the adventure travel market to attract working people in the heart of the capital and tourists by joining with Amarin Kolors of Style to hold an Adventure Travel Fair at Amarin Hall (Floor 1) from August 18th to 21st, 2005. The event offers a wide selection of travel packages at more affordable prices so nature and adventure lovers can explore adventure tourism together with skilled guides during this rainy season.
The Adventure Travel Fair aims to promote local tourism in accordance with the government’s tourism promotion plan. TEATA has worked closely with Amarin to convert the 400 square meter Amarin Hall into a verdant zone of lush greenery and wilderness creations. It has brought together a caravan of over 35 travel agents and eco-tourism and adventure travel specialists with exciting booths that offer specially priced travel packages, accommodations, adventure accessories, travel guidebooks and special talks by several travel experts.
Eco-tourism and adventure travel are booming and offer high growth potential.
Mrs. Juthaporn Rerngronasa, Deputy Governor for Domestic Marketing, Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), said, “Adventure travelers used to be foreigners but now Thais, especially working people, are much more interested in these types of activities. The Adventure Travel Fair that is taking place at Amarin is a good opportunity for working people to buy travel packages conveniently while helping to boost the popularity of eco-tourism.”
Various travel packages are on offer at the Adventure Travel Fair at very special prices. Travelers can experience the fun and excitement of adventure vacations and enjoy the beauty and wonder of refreshing nature through activities ranging from wilderness trekking, river cruising, mountain biking, kayaking, diving, abseiling, rock climbing, bird watching and star gazing to cultural programs such as home stays and self-drive tours along Indo-China routes, all under the guidance of adventure tourism specialists.
