Acer Computer Co., Ltd. has combined forces with Imagimax, a leading animation studio, to organize the “Acer and Imagimax Animation Exploration Contest 2005”. Students from every part of the country are entitled to join this contest and win a chance to enter the emerging animation industry. Today professional animators are needed as the animation market is set to grow substantially. Winners will be awarded with prizes worth over Bt200,000. This activity is co-sponsored by Intel and ATi.

However, Thailand’s human resources are still insufficient both quantitatively and qualitatively to successfully develop this industry. We have join forces with Imagimax, Intel and ATi to organize the ‘Acer and Imagimax Animation Exploration Contest 2005’ under the theme of ‘RECA’s Adventure in the Digital World.’ Students are invited to submit their storyboard for this contest.”

About “Acer and Imagimax Animation Exploration Contest 2005”
Prizes are worth more than Bt200,000, and the winners’ academic institutions will also obtain Bt40,000 each. Details are as follows:
First prize: Bt50,000 in cash, one set of Acer Aspire computer, and a training course from Imagimax Animation & Design Studio
Second prize: Bt30,000 in cash, and one set of Acer Aspire computer
Second prize: Bt10,000 in cash, and one set of Acer Aspire computer
Students may register online from now until September 30, 2005 and submit their entries from October 1 to November 30, 2005. Winners will be announced in December, and prizes will be awarded at the TAM 2006. Registered contestants may attend a training course on scripting and storyboard creation on October 20 and 26, 2005 at Seminar Room 2, ICT Training Centre , Central World Plaza.
