D&M Music Studio in cooperation with United Nations in Thailand are pleased to announce “Concert For World Peace” to mark the 60th anniversary of United Nations worldwide performed by The National Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Vanich Potavanich, a renowned Thai conductor & composer with Sittichai
Pengcharoen as concert-master and soloist. The National Symphony Orchestra or NSO is the oldest orchestra in Thailand founded in 1934 which has given more than 1,000 symphonic concerts for several important events , concert associations and festivals in Thailand . The orchestra has been conducted by various notable resident conductors including the founding conductor Prof.Prajen Duriyang, Cholamoo
Chalanugrah , Dr.Prathak Pradipasen etc. as well as well-known guest conductors and oversea guest artistes. They often perform at The National Theatre
which is the home of NSO. The programme includes works by : Beethoven : Egmont
Overture , Schubert : Symphony No. 8 in B minor (Unfinished ), Paganini : Violin Concerto No. 1 in D and a selection of songs sung by Duangdao Chayasirisobhon, soprano and Mongkol Chayasirisobhon, baritone. The concert will be held at The National Theatre on Friday, October 14, 2005 begins at 7.30 pm. Tickets
