Srinagar, India (INF) - With the restoration of peace and normalcy, a conducive environment for world tourism has been created resulting heavy influx of foreign tourists despite restrictions imposed by European countries.
This was stated by the minister for Tourism, Housing and Urban Development while interacting with a group of Malaysian tourists who called on him at his residence on Tuesday morning.
He said that efforts are on to give more impetus to provide world-class tourism facilities at all the tourist resorts to the foreign tourists.
A Group of 41 members Malaysian tourists who reached here on 25th of this month and visited Sonamarg, Mughal Gardens, Gulmarg and other places of tourist attraction. When asked about their experience and observations about the changed scenario in the state, they expressed their satisfaction and showered all praises about goodwill gesture they received from the people at the places, they visited.
Mr. Mir asked the tourist to visit other historical, religious and natural eye soothing scenic tourist resorts and take with them their experiences and messages for their fellow countrymen about the changed scenario and fast restoring peace and tranquility in every nook and corner of the state to rebuttal the false propaganda of insecurity and disturbance being flashed by certain elements. He said government is committed to extend all facilities for the comfortable visit and stay of the foreign tourists in the state.
