WorkCentre 220/222 targeted at low-end and mid-range segments with two-sided color scan capabilities
Fuji Xerox Printers (FXP) introduces two new monochrome multi-function printers (MFP), the WorkCentre 220/222, that deliver increased office productivity through faster and improved document management, backed by FXP signature high quality prints. The unit also boasts automatic two-sided color scan.
Mr. Jeffrey Tan, General Manager and Director, Fuji Xerox Printers, ASEAN, outlined the company’s business strategy for the second half of the year, focusing on new product launch and channel expansion. The WorkCentre 220/222 printers provide users the versatility, convenience and efficiency of printing, scanning, faxing and copying on one machine. The WorkCentre 220/222 MFPs are ideal for SOHOs, small workgroups in small-to-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and even small to mid sized user groups in corporate or government offices, who will find the large 15,000 pages per month duty cycle more office efficient.
The powerful WorkCentre 220/222 is an essential office tool for its versatility and reliability to deliver efficient document management and convenient document handling solutions, as well as high quality prints and scans.
This series also provide better value through faster print and copy speeds and an affordable cost per page. The series has a print speed of 20 pages per minute (ppm), a first page out time of less than 13 seconds, a crisp print resolution of 600 x 600dpi, and colour scan capabilities of 48-bit, 600 x 2400dpi (optical), or 9600 x 9600dpi (interpolated).
The WorkCentre 220/222 printers also boast time and cost saving features including colour duplex scanning, direct scan to fax/email/FTP* and ADSL fax*. The printers come with a 250-sheet paper tray and 1-sheet multi-purpose tray. Users can also opt for a 500-sheet additional paper tray for a maximum of 750 sheets.
It offers high-speed faxing at 33.6 kbps* and copying speed of 20ppm. The printers boast a memory capacity of up to 64MB. Despite the high feature set, this printer series is affordable and very easy to install.
Mr. Rangsan Naratchariyangkul, Country Manager, Fuji Xerox Printers, added, “WorkCentre 220 and 222 will be marketed through three local distributors: SiS Distribution (Thailand), Synnex (Thailand), and Computer Systems Connection, along with leading IT superstores such as IT CITY, Office Center, Connect IT.”
The company expects a higher growth in Thailand’s laser printer market during the second half, especially SMB and government segments. In 2005, total shipments of laser printers may increase by 150,000 units, compared with the growth of 130,000 units in 2004.
