To enlarge Thailand’s investor base, The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has launched two SET Corners in Ubon Ratchathani province, at Ubon Ratchathani University and Ubon Ratchathani Rajaphat Institute.
The SET launched SET Corners at Ubon Ratchathani University’s Faculty of Business Administration and Ubon Ratchathani Rajaphat Institute’s Central Library and Information Center.
SET President Kittiratt Na Ranong said, “We are pleased to collaborate with these two organizations in promoting a greater understanding of finance and investment. These institutions will be information dissemination centers in Ubon Ratchathani and for the surrounding provinces in the lower northeastern region. In addition to establishing the SET Corners, we’ve co-hosted seminars on personal finance in Ubon Ratchathani, and they were very well attended.”
Since 2004, the SET has established SET Corners in nearly 40 institutions nationwide. Such Corners provide a variety of books and magazines, financial market information and SETSMART (SET Market Analysis and Reporting Tool) facilities, which is linked with the SET’s information system and is accessible online.
