At a four day celebratory event held recently by Le Mridien Khao Lak Beach & Spa Resort, General Manager Achim Brueckner said he is anticipating a busy season in the newly opened resort that provides the perfect destination for singles, couples, and families as well as high end Villa guests.
The celebration took place from Thursday October 20th to Sunday October 23rd. The resort opened its doors as early as the 15th of October and is looking forward to a large influx of regular and repeat guests, plus many who will be visiting the resort for the first time.
Media and hospitality industry guests were flown to Le M?ridien Khao Lak Beach & Spa Resort and invited to experience a selection of the wide range of activities available to guests, including spa treatments, water sports, international and local fare from five restaurants, and a number of outdoor leisure activities.
The opening took place on Friday night with owner Mr. Vitya Chakrabandhu and General Manager Achim Brueckner welcoming more than 150 guests to enjoy what Mr. Brueckner described as “an evening of great food and great entertainment in the special atmosphere that is Le M?ridien Khao Lak Beach & Spa Resort.”
The entertainment included traditional Thai dancing and fire juggling with music by long drums plus guest DJ from Bangkok, David Found.
Reminding his guests of the nature of the occasion Mr. Brueckner said, “This, of course is an occasion for celebration — the re-opening of this beautiful resort destination and what it so emphatically represents — the beginning of a proud new era of growth and innovation in the development of Thailand’s hospitality industry.”
As part of its focus on developing strong MICE market potential, Le Mridien Khao Lak Beach & Spa Resort has included incentive programmes for meeting planners and other offers including Le Mridien Meetings Plus and specifically tailored group activities.
The newly opened R&B Nightclub is an example of what owner Mr. Vitya Chakrabandhu believes sets the resort apart from many others. Explained Mr. Chakrabandhu, “The R&B Nightclub enables us to offer our guests late night entertainment until the early hours in a uniquely vibrant atmosphere without disturbing fellow guests.”
The new “Le Spa” offers a full range of services in eight treatment rooms, each boasting indoor and outdoor facilities with its own pool. Mr. Brueckner said, “Our spa is located away from the core of the resort and offers our guests an idyllic atmosphere for rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation. It’s designed that way — the whole resort is built so that guests leave feeling as if they have had their own personal Le Mridien experience.”
