Additional credit to award Customers who top up on the day petrol price is up plus extension of validity period
To help customers to better cope with high cost of living as a result of rising petrol price, Happy from DTAC is introducing new ‘Term Jai’ service to award prepaid customers.
‘Term Jai’ service enables customers who refill more than 200 baht to their Happy, Hey Ha or Baby SIM on the day the petrol price is up to get 30 baht additional airtime value for free, within 24 hours. Furthermore, after credit validity period has expired, customers can still enjoy extending period of receiving incoming calls for 45 days (previously set at 15 days) and also get access to emergency call numbers nationwide for free of charge.
Mr Sigve Brekke, the Chief Executive Officer of Total Access Communication Plc (DTAC), says the new service is complying with DTAC’s latest ‘Por Dee’ TVC campaign and to help ease the burden of customers amidst gloomy economic situation and promote long term relationship.
“We are pleased to give some rewards back to our customers. The service will deliver good news to customers at the time petrol price increases. This will help Happy subscribers not to worry much about mobile phone usage and can focus on the more important living factors,’’ says Mr Brekke.
Mr Thana Thienachariya, Chief Commercial Officer, adds: ‘’Happy has our own and unique strategy of “Por Dee” and “Jai Dee”. During the hard time like this, we have initiated the campaign to help customers cope with the high cost of living. Customers need not bother to apply for ‘Term Jai’ campaign at all. When they top up for 200 baht or more, they will automatically get additional 30 baht free airtime. Also available is an extension of validity period after it’s expired. Although customers cannot make calls during this suspension stage, they still can receive calls for 45 days, an extension from 15 days earlier with free of charge when calling to emergency numbers.
‘’In the economic doldrums we still plan to introduce more new features under “Term Jai” service in the near future to keep our customers happy,’’ Mr Thana says.
‘Term Jai’ service will be promoted through TV commercials and print ads, along with other below-the-line activities. From now until December 31, 2005 prepaid customers will receive free 30 Bt airtime when topping up for 200 Bt or more. The service is valid only for the first time on the first date when three major gasoline operators make announcement to increase petrol price. And from November 1 until the end of this year, they will also receive privilege of validity date extension. Topping up during the 45 days after validity has expired, customers will receive accumulation of left-over airtime value in the account.
The emergency numbers for free of charge when called from Happy, Hey Ha and Baby SIM include 191 for police, 1155 for Tourist Police, 1195 for Suppression Division Police, 1689 Narenthorn Center of the Public Health Ministry, 1877 for ‘Ruam Duay Chuay Kan’ radio station and 1808 for Jor Sor 100 radio station.
