Let’s start with its color for the global 1st edition launch — Vesuvius Orange — inspired by the color of the hot lava spewed out by the fury of Mt. Vesuvius. It represents the surge of hot excitement that is characteristically Land Rover.

Range Rover Sport dynamic nature is complemented by its excellent comfort and refinement. Its purposeful cockpit interior perfectly balances sporting style and modern luxury. The “cockpit feel” of the Range Rover Sport is a unique environment where the driver is right in the heart of the action.
Range Rover Sport features advanced technology that lets you connect with the road for a powerful, engaging drive. And when the road ends, it keeps on performing. The new Dynamic Response system provides superb handling even under challenging conditions. And with the exclusive Terrain Response? system, this vehicle allows the driver to tailor the car’s reactions to the type of ground being covered.
The top-line Range Rover Sport uses a Supercharged 4.2 V8 engine maximum power is 390 bhp with an electronically controlled top speed of 225 kmh giving a 0-100 kms in only 7.6 sec. In addition to the Supercharged engine there are two further engines available: a natural aspirated 4.4 V8 engine, with 300 bhp and a 2.7 V6 diesel delivers 440 Nm of torque, using the latest diesel technology for outstanding refinement and smooth torque throughout the rev range. All derivatives deliver power to all four wheels through a ZF “Intelligent Shift” 6-speed automatic transmission.

For the general public, the hot-on-its-tracks Range Rover Sport will finally have its first public appearance at the Thailand International Motor Expo 2005, which will run from 1 to 12 December 2005 at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center in MuangThong Thani, wherein the people could have their close encounter with the new breed of Land Rover. The new Range Rover Sport prices are started from Bht 6.28 million. The price package includes 5-year or 100,000 km Warranty, 5-year or 100, 000 km Maintenance and 5-year Land Rover Roadside Assistance.
