InfoQuest introduces iQStock.net, a comprehensive stock information service for mobile phones at “SET in the City 2005”. Investors can apply for a free trial until 31 January 2006.
InfoQuest Limited, a leading provider of real-time on-line news and information, today announced the introduction of iQStock, the company’s new stock information service for mobile phones. This service, which will be demonstrated at SET in the City 2005 during 17-20 November (2nd floor, Zone C, the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center), will enable investors to access Thailand’s most comprehensive stock news and information on their mobile phones.
Investors who apply for a trial of the service at the event will be able to access iQStock through AIS, DTAC, and Orange networks free of charge (excluding GPRS fees) until 31 January 2006.
“iQStock perfectly addresses the requirements of the new generation of stock investors”, said Khun Jalthong Patamapongs, Chairman of InfoQuest. “Our customers can access the information that they want any time, anywhere. They no longer need to be in front of the PC all the time.
With iQStock smart menus, investors don’t have to always start from the main page. Instead, they have quick and easy access to the relevant information from the last page they were using”, added Khun Jalthong.
iQStock is a WAP service providing comprehensive stock news and information including real-time stock quotations, financial results of listed companies, world stock indices, local and international news, broker commentaries, FX rates, oil and gold prices. iQStock has an intelligent search capability which supports various search conditions, e.g. search by stock symbol, search by source, full text search, etc.
Despite using a small display, iQStock is very efficient and practical. The service is specifically designed to be easy to use on a mobile phone.
Investors can personalize “My Page” to contain a watch list of up to 25 individual stocks and indices. On the quote page of an individual stock, investors can drill down to other information relevant to the stock, i.e. intraday chart, historical chart, news/comment, fundamental data and market/sector index.
The iQStock system automatically detects the make and model of the connecting mobile device (mobile phone, smart phone or PDA) and optimises the information display accordingly. To ensure service continuity, iQStock servers are installed and run in parallel in 3 different data centers.
