Bangkok--Nov 25--124 Communications
Thailand’s leading PR company, 124 Communications Plc (PR124) has set the subscription period of its intial public offering (IPO) shares for November 28-29, 2005 with the price being 7.10 baht apiece. The firm’s trading debut will take place on December 8, 2005.
Bangkok, November 24, 2005: 124 Communications Plc (PR124) CEO and President Nimitz Modrakee announced today that the company has appointed Bualuang Securities as the lead underwriter along with Semico Securities, KGI Securities and Intel Vision Securities as co-underwriters for the firm’s intial public offering (IPO). The company plans to sell 9 million shares to local retail investors at 7.10 baht apiece with the par being 1 baht. The retail subscription period has been scheduled for November 28-29, 2005 with trading debut to take place on December 8, 2005.
124 Communications Managing Director Sopawadee Chanthaworn said the company recently posted consolidated revenues of 129.55 million baht for the first 9 months of this year compared to 134.21 million baht obtained throughout 2004, with this being an increase of 71% year-on-year. The firm’s net earnings totalled 17.26 million baht compared to 22.34 million baht obtained throughout 2004.
Of the total revenue, 38% was obtained from IPO PR, 42% from corporate PR, 15% from marketing events and 5% from investor relations, Ms. Sopawadee added.
124 expects to do far better this year than last year because it will be obtaining a large amount of revenue from public relations accounts in the second half of the year. Both public and private sectors will be paying a lot of attention to public relations, event marketing and promotion during this period.
Ms Sopawadee said she sees more opportunities in this field because increasing number of organizations are becoming interested in hiring PR consultants. This is especially true this year as there has been a strong impact on the country’s economy from various factors including high oil and gas prices. These organizations are therefore tapping the agency’s services. On average, companies operating similar type of business are obtaining 20% year-on-year growth but 124 has been expanding at a faster rate and expects to register a bigger increase than the market’s growth rate this year.
Currently, PR124 has over 40 accounts covering various industries including:
