The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) approved the listing of Diamond Roofing Tiles Pcl. on the exchange. The company’s securities will be listed in the Property and Construction Industry Group, Construction Materials Sector, on November 29, 2005, using “DRT” as their trading symbol.
DRT has THB1.00 bln. in paid-up capital. These securities are comprised of an existing 160 mln. shares and an additional 40 mln. shares in capital increase, with a par value of THB5.00 each. During November 16 — 18, 2005, DRT sold in its initial public offering (IPO) 25.8 mln. shares to the general public, 9.2 mln. shares to institutional investors and 5 mln. shares to its benefactors, all at THB7.80 per share.
Additionally, it provided 6 mln. shares belonging to Myriad Materials Co. Ltd under a greenshoe option. Bualuang Securities Pcl. acted as DRT’s financial advisor and over-allotment agent.
The IPO price of THB7.80 is approximately 6.2 — 6.5 times DRT’s price-earnings (P/E) ratio. Meanwhile its industry’s average P/E is about 8.5 times. DRT’s dividend payment policy is to pay out no less than 50% of net profits after reserves.
“With its edge from its quality products and its potential overseas markets, as well as the oligopolistic nature of the roofing and tile industry, DRT should be another interesting investment alternative,” SET EVP, Ms. Sopawadee Lertmanaschai said.
DRT’s main business is manufacturing roofing tiles and roofing tile accessories, e.g., heat reflecting sheets and rain gutters. Its main product lines are fiber cement tiles, concrete cement tiles and siding boards The company sells its products through distributors in both the domestic and overseas markets, as well as through residential project developers. Its product trademarks include the “Diamond”, “Roof”, “ADAMAS”, and “Jearanai” brands.
The principal shareholder of DRT is Myriad Materials Co. Ltd., which holds 73.33% of the company’s paid-up capital after the IPO.
