As the leading credit card and consumer finance company of Thailand, KTC is proceeding with the reduction of interest rate and credit usage fee to only 28% per year, following gradual reduction commenced in past July, with completion expected by yearend as a festive gift for KTC CASH clients. Clients of other financial institutions are welcomed to refinance with KTC and benefit from lower interest rates and reduction in principal and interest plan.
Miss Sudaporn Janwatanakul, Executive Vice President, Fixed Loans Business, KTC or Krungthai Card Public Company Limited commented on the reduction of KTC CASH interest rate and credit usage fee “As the leading Thai credit card and consumer finance company, we are well aware of how important it is to help ease the burden of the clients and to thank them for their patronage. Therefore, when Bank of Thailand has established a policy requiring personal loan businesses to reduce interest rate and credit usage fee of existing clients to 28% by July 2006.”
“We are naturally among the first to proceed in accordance with such policy and to begin the reduction of interest rate and credit usage fee since July. We will expedite the adjustment of whole personal loan portfolio by the end of 2005 as a New Year gift for all KTC CASH clients. We are certain that the reduction of interest by yearend will help with customer satisfaction as they will pay less each month. ”
“Clients of other financial institutions who are paying interest rate and credit usage fee higher than 28% per year may apply for a refinance with KTC CASH. We are glad to offer interest rate as low as 22% per year, declining rate interest, waiver of fee, selectable due date and number of installments and payment postponement in case of emergency. They will also benefit from other benefits and discounts brought by their KTC CASH Privilege Card as well”, said Miss Sudaporn in conclusion.
