18 leading Italian Glass Manufacturers enter to Thailand market by showing latest technology in Glass production in “GLASSTECH ASIA 2005”, and to help develop productivity to cove up with the increasing demand of the automotive, infrastructure and architectural use in Real Estate sectors.
Dr. Flavia Farruggio, Trade Commissioner, Italian Trade Commission reveals that “GLASSTECH ASIA 2005”, held during November 30 — December 2, 2005 at Challenger Hall 3 At IMPACT Arena Convention & Exhibition Centre. It is the first time that “GLASSTECH ASIA 2005” is moved to Thailand, after several times held in Singapore. Since Thailand is a potential country for international investors especially from Italy who shows interest in Thailand. It is considered the center of investment and trade in Southeast Asian Countries. Also the country has an open policy for free trade with other countries.
For “GLASSTECH ASIA 2005” Italy will brings 18 leadings Italian manufacturers as well as the latest technology and development to the country. 350 manufactures and Glass Design Company from all over the world will participated in “GLASSTECH ASIA 2005” The Exhibition is focused mainly on Glass industry, related machines and tools production & design machines on 10,000 Square metres exhibition. It is expected to draw more than 10,000 from all over the world.
Dr.Farruggio added that Thailand has its potential and ability to be the center of the glass industry in the Southeast Asian countries. Considering the growth of glass related industry like the auto industry that expected to produce 1.2 million vehicles a year, moreover the real estate and construction sectors also have its potential growth. Italy sees the possibility and opportunity for Thailand to be a production base for Glass export. That’s why Italian investors want to invest in Thailand and bring the successful production technology to Thailand to leverage its technology skill to produce and develop Glass products which can meet the high standard of Italian glass and ready to export to the world market.
Dr. Farruggio also added that 18 leading glass manufacturers who will be in Thailand for “GLASSTECH ASIA 2005” are the most successful glass export manufacturers which will bring the high technology transfers to Thai Glass industry. There also be an opportunity for the Italian-Thai joint-venture as well. Thailand also has its low labour cost and has many Glass Factories which will help Thailand to increase its ability to meet the world demand.
