The Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit is pleased to announce its role as the official hotel for the prestigious Royal Trophy golf tournament which will be held in Thailand during 5 to 8 January 2006.
This unique tournament has been dubbed The Great Battle of Two Worlds and will see all star teams from Europe and Asia compete against each other. Sports fans will undoubtedly witness some truly top class golfing action in Thailand.

The legendary Japanese golfer and captain of the Asian team Masahiro Kuramoto is in fighting spirit. ‘I am truly honored to be selected to lead the Asian Team in this historic first edition of the Royal Trophy,’ he said. ‘We will take the challenge of defeating Europe with the utmost commitment and dedication.’
European team captain, the great Spanish golfer Seve Ballesteros was in a similarly ebullient mood. ‘I accept the responsibility of captain with great pride. The Asian team may have the home advantage but I assure you that we have a great team and we will fight very hard to bring the Royal Trophy to Europe,’ he said.
