Supporting infrastructure including, standard and VIP paddock, office, restaurant and audience seats will also be renovated.
“Nowadays, Go-KART has become internationally accepted and popular among racers. Go-KART is deemed to be a stepping stone for racers to move on to another motor racing competition in the future. In the past, a large number of Formula 1 racers began their career as Go-KART racers. If Thailand lifts its Go-KART racing standard, it is clear that improved potential of racers to become world-class motor racers will ultimately increase. We have prepared a team to participate in various events under the name of ‘Ananda Motorsports’. This team will not only participate in Go-KART event but also ONE MAKE RACE hosted by Toyota.
Mr. Chanond further adds that Bira Kart is scheduled to debut its official renovation in March 2006 to test its readiness. On December 11, 2005, professional and experienced racers are invited to test drive on the newly renovated racing lane before it is made official. Two major events have expressed their intention to use the new racing field namely Thailand KART Championship and TOYOTA Youth KART Experience Challenge 2006 Thailand that sponsored by Toyota and UBC. In the near future, it is expected that more international events will be drawn to Thailand, most of which will be 24- hour ENDURANCE. The official opening will be held in March 2005.
Bira Kart Renovation is a pilot project that will lift up Thailand motor sports standard to the next level. In the future, major renovations for racing fields will be more and more introduced and carried out. Bira Kart will not only become internationally accepted racing field but will also provide Kart rental services, paddock service, Kart-drive teaching service and related office support service.
