Oracle Joins With ATCI, SIPA and Software Park to Introduce the RITE Program, Offering The Right Enterprise Business Opportunities To Independent Software Vendors In Thailand
Oracle Corporation (Thailand) Ltd. today announced that it has joined with the Association of Thai ICT Industry (ATCI) to introduce the RITE (Recruit, Innovate, Technology Adoption, Excel) Program to Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) in Thailand. The Software Industry Promotion Association (SIPA) and Software Park, two of Thailand’s key software development promotion agencies, are also supporting the program.
The RITE Program is based on the theme “Great Ideas and Good Technology Mean Better Business.” It will introduce Thai ISVs to expanded business opportunities through technical education, certification and marketing support for applications based on the Oracle platform.
“The RITE Program reflects our mission to provide strong support to our ISV partners and help them grow their businesses,” said Khun Natasak Rodjanapiches, managing director, Oracle Corporation (Thailand) Ltd. “We aim to bring Thai ISVs that can develop solutions with high market potential into the Oracle Partner Network, where we will assist them in reaching out to new enterprise customers. The RITE program will quickly build a base of technology professionals who learn from experts how to develop and improve solutions that are appealing to the enterprise market.”
According to Khun Jumrud Sawangsamud, President of the Association of Thai ICT Industry: “The RITE program offers an excellent opportunity for Thai ISVs to expand their presence in the enterprise market, where Oracle has a strong leadership position. We encourage all of our members to apply for this program to develop their skills and enjoy the marketing support of Oracle, the leading information management company for enterprises and SMEs.”
Any of the 100 ISVs who are members of ATCI can apply to join the RITE Program. Each will be considered in terms of their capabilities and commitment to growth and improvement, along with the types of potential applications they want to develop. The program aims to bring in qualified ISVs who want to develop innovative and unique applications useful to enterprise customers both in Thailand and internationally. These ISVs will be eligible for training and certification as Oracle Certified Partners.
“We welcome this initiative to improve the quality of enterprise applications developed by Thai ISVs,” said Khun Manoo Ordeedolchest, President of Software Industry Promotion Agency (SIPA). “There is a lot of raw talent and motivation among Thai ISVs that the RITE Program can help turn into successful enterprise applications. The RITE will lift the Thai software industry to a new level.
Software Park Thailand will support the RITE Program by offering training and workshop facilities. “We see great benefits for Thai ISVs to take part in this program, as it will improve their capability to develop applications based on the Oracle platform. Oracle will also help with marketing and addressing opportunities in the enterprise sector, which will greatly benefit Thai ISVs,” said Khun Suwipa Wannasathop, Director of Software Park Thailand.
Thai ISVs who are ATCI members are now invited to apply for the RITE Program, which will start in January 2006. Selected ISVs will join the Oracle 10g Fast Track program in January, after which they can join the Oracle Partners Program at no cost. An ISV Tech Forum, to test drive technologies, will follow in February 2006. Applications developed by the ISVs will be showcased at a major Oracle Technology Summit at the end of March 2006 as part of a “go to market” program.
Oracle will support the ISVs’ marketing efforts by co-funding marketing programs, inviting them to participate in Oracle marketing events and promoting their solutions on the Oracle Solutions CD and in the Oracle Solutions Catalogue.
“Oracle has a very strong presence in the enterprise market, and we look forward to the RITE program enriching the many solutions we offer with quality applications developed by Thai ISVs,” concluded Khun Natasak.
