CB Richard Ellis is pleased to announce the appointments of Chris Brooke as the Managing Director for Greater China involving overall responsibility for the operations of CB Richard Ellis in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and Rick Santos as the Managing Director for Hong Kong, with effect from 1st January 2006.
Chris Brooke assumes this new position after having been Managing Director of China. As part of this previous role, he was responsible for the operations of CB Richard Ellis in China - Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. He has led the China offices in their recent expansion strategy and has been heavily involved in the emergence of CB Richard Ellis as one of the leading real estate service providers in China.
Based in Beijing, Chris Brooke will drive the overall business expansion of CB Richard Ellis throughout Greater China, focusing on further implementing cross border strategies, and facilitating the inbound and outbound movement of investment capital across the region. He will also lead the expansion of the business of CB Richard Ellis into second tier cities in China, commencing with the opening of an office in Chengdu in January 2006.
In addition to his regional management role, Chris will continue in his capacity as the Executive Director of CBRE Consulting, Asia, involving the overall co-ordination of all assignments undertaken by teams within the CBRE Consulting business line across Asia.

Chris Brooke is a Chartered Surveyor with over fifteen years of experience in various fields of the property industry. Since 1992 he has been providing consultancy and advice in relation to real estate issues in Hong Kong, China and the Asia Pacific region and has participated within assignments associated with market research, feasibility studies, land premium negotiations, investment transactions, development projects and joint venture agreements.
Rick Santos, previously the President and Managing Director of CB Richard Ellis’ Philippines office, will also assume the role of Chairman of CB Richard Ellis Philippines, and continue to serve on the Greater China Board, and the Asia Board.
With his appointment as Managing Director, Hong Kong, Rick Santos will play a key role in leading the office in the strategic, operational and human capital development to achieve greater business growth. He will also take charge of the cross-border investment team, focusing on the inbound and outbound movement of investment capital across Asia and the Sub-continent.

He began his CB Richard Ellis career in Hong Kong in 1994 and was awarded the “Global Achievement Award for Asia Pacific Cross Border Investment“ in 2000. He has spent his entire career in international real estate and business, having also worked in the UK, the US and Japan.
