Blue Canyon Country Club Hosts Special Christmas Party for Child-Watch Phuket Association & Makes Donation to Relief Centre
This festive season, Blue Canyon Country Club is opening its doors and reaching out to the hearts of the tsunami survivors by organising Christmas parties specially for them. This is a continuation of Blue Canyon Country Club's efforts in providing aid and welfare to the Phuket community.
When the devastating tsunami first hit Phuket, Blue Canyon Country Club immediately swung into action, transforming the Club into a crisis relief centre. Bed linen, food and medical supplies were provided to thousands of stranded tourists and residents who lost their homes and families when the tidal waves struck on Dec 26, 2004.
In addition to monetary contribution, Mr and Mrs Sia, owners of Blue Canyon Country Club, also helped reconstruct about 20 houses in the Nai Rai village. A trained architect, Mrs Sia also helped ensure the infrastructure of the new houses offered better protection and sanitation.
A year on, residents of Phuket are looking forward to the future with an optimistic outlook and enthusiasm for life. Blue Canyon Country Club is honoured to be able to continue to assist them on their road to recovery and has organised a few parties to help spread some Christmas cheer among the survivors.
This season, the management and staff of Blue Canyon Country Club will come together to host a series of social gatherings for the residents of Phuket and to help the needy during this time of the year:
