World’s Lighting Control Leader Launches Hotline to Provide Greater Customer Satisfaction
Lutron Electronics, the world’s leading manufacturer of lighting controls, announces the launch of its first technical support hotline for Asian customers. The Lutron Asia Technical Hotline will provide answers, in several languages, to questions covering all aspects of Lutron’s lighting control solutions. Envisioned as a further means of adding value to their customers, Lutron initially rolled out toll-free hotline numbers in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand on 10 October. Other countries throughout the region will be added in the near future.
The hotline will provide valuable technical support to the many consultants, contractors, developers, homeowners and interior designers that use Lutron’s market leading control systems. Designed to be intelligent yet simple to operate, Lutron lighting control systems are highly advanced and the additional technical support, especially in the initial installation stages, will be a great benefit to customers.

By providing that extra little bit of technical and service support we hope to further demonstrate our commitment to customer satisfaction and service,” explained Dave Odess, Vice President for International Sales at Lutron. “As with most technologies, having a trained secondary support point is key to building brand value and customer loyalty.”
Previously, technical questions were directed to the individual offices in each country and handled in a more informal manner. To better address the needs of Lutron’s rapidly expanding customer base in Asia, the Lutron Asia Technical Hotline will be able to provide in-depth technical assistance covering a host of topics including installation, programming, product details, applications and any other situation a user may encounter.
“As many Lutron customers are developers, contractors and interior designers, we expect the majority of questions to cover applications, lighting design support and installation. As we further roll-out the programme onto the Internet and include the hotline in all of our sales and marketing materials, we anticipate a strong, positive customer response to this service,” said Dave Odess.
The Lutron Asia Technical Hotline is currently available Monday to Friday, 9AM to 6PM, including English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Emergency technical support will also be provided after office hours.
