Recognised As One of Key Global Players Driving IT Industry
Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR) today announced it has been named a Top 100 strategic vendor in MIS Asia magazine’s annual listing.
MIS Asia covers topics on IT management in the Asia Pacific region and has a monthly circulation of 12,000 copies. Its readership includes CIOs, IT directors and senior IT decision makers from end-user organisations across the region, including in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Brunei, Malaysia and Thailand.
In its November 2005 issue, MIS Asia noted that Juniper’s long and storied relationship with the telecom sector has helped it cultivate market share at the expense of far larger rivals. Its success extends into the corporate enterprise environment, where Juniper CEO Scott Kriens is credited by MIS Asia with ‘driving a multi-vendor effort to completely transform the Internet into a single standard, packet-based network, capable of responding to on-the-fly data demands and supporting grid computing’.
In addition, the magazine applauded the company for a 61 percent year on year (Q204 versus Q205) revenue gain and nearly three years of consecutive revenue growth.
“For nine years the MIS Strategic 100 has identified the top global players who drive their industry. I congratulate Juniper for being selected by our panel of end-user CIOs and IT Directors,” said John Lui, editor, MIS Asia magazine.
“MIS Asia has recognised Juniper’s innovation by identifying us as a top 100 vendor,” said Adam Judd, Juniper’s Asia-Pacific vice-president. “But we’re not stopping there. Secure and assured networks will be an overriding theme for Juniper next year, a focus that will create further points of engagement for us with our widening customer base.” End.
