Thailand Wins World Bodybuilding Gold Medal

Bangkok--Jan 13--Thana Burin Asia Pacific Vice President of the International Bodybuilding & Fitness Federation and Secretary General of the Asian Bodybuilding & Fitness Federation has today visited Bangkok to specially present Thailand’s first gold medal bodybuilding to Mr Sitthi Charoenrith, The gold medal bodybuilding award presentation will further encourage Thai bodybuilders to extensively practice to follow their dreams. Datuk Paul Chua, Vice President of the International Bodybuilding & Fitness Federation & Secretary General of the Asian Bodybuilding & Fitness Federation, said “The standard of bodybuilding in the Thailand has improved tremendously. The results of 2005 have been so good which I have heard that Thai Bodybuilding Association has received so many awards from several bodybuilding championships. One example is that Thailand now has a world Light-Middle Wt. (80kg) champion Mr Sitthi Charoenrith. He is the first Thailand bodybuilder, who has won the Gold Medal competing against 57 countries. “Mr Sitthi has the ability to arrange his posing routines very well during the World Amateur Bodybuilding competition organised recently in the Republic of China,” Datuk Chua said. According to Khun Pakpong Kriangsak, President of Thai Bodybuilding Association, “We are delighted that our bodybuilder has brought home the Gold Medal for World Amateur Bodybuilding Championship. This is the first time ever that has happened, and will surely result in putting more emphasis and commitment to developing the capabilities of bodybuilders in Thailand. The sport of bodybuilding has widely grown and recognised considerably. Bodybuilders from Thailand have received a lot of international recognition. This year, Thai Bodybuilding Association has planned to organise several activities that will promote bodybuilding. “Khun Sitthi is a good example of new generation bodybuilders who is discipline to extensively exercise and practice. That’s why the award is suit for him. Moreover, bodybuilding is a basic requirement in all sports, including athletics, boxing, football, swimming, tennis,” Khun Pakpong said.
