- Announce ready to further success with “TK Park & Acer VR Game Challenge” campaign -
Acer Computer Co., Ltd. and Imagimax supported by Intel and ATi announce the winner from “Acer and Imagimax Animation Exploration Contest 2005”. The winner team, Porous Media Team, from Thammasart University gets the grand prize worth over Baht 100,000. The winning project will be eventually applied to Acer’s TV Commercial as well as career development in Animation industry for the winning team. The company is also ready to support continual campaign that to develop resources for 3D animation for virtual game media.
Mr. Nitipat Praweenwongwuthi, Marketing Manager of Acer said “Acer and Imagimax Animation Exploration Contest 2005 was first initiated in late 2005 that the project was to promote and develop intelligent and skillful resources for the Animation Creation industry. The program was widely interested by students from educational institutes throughout the country, that there were over 50 pieces of animated creations sent to the campaign. We are very pleased and graceful that this program is of interest of Thai youth and that they can demonstrate their creativity and skillful technology intelligence. On behalf of the committee, I congratulate the teams who have won awards and looking forward for the next year campaign.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Kriengkrai Supornsahasrungsi, Imagimax General Manager addressed that “We have seen significant creative and technological skill and capability in Animation technology of Thai youth from this campaign and we believe that Thai children should be encouraged and supported by not only the government but business or private sectors as well. It is widely known that this particular skill is needed in the industry. Commercials are clear evidences that prove how an effective animated creativity can draw so much attention from the audiences.
“For this year, Acer will again continue to support the Digital Arts talents by joining with Thailand Knowledge Park or TK Park and Imagimax to launch the new campaign "TK Park & Acer VR Game Challenge". The campaign comprises of 3 key modules;
1. Thai Archeology Virtual Reality module
2. 3D Animation Training for Virtual Reality Game module.
3. TK Park & Acer VR Game Challenge 2006 module which is a learning media creative competition campaign that opens for general public to students.
As the main sponsor for the campaign, Acer will jointly support the main computer systems for the competition module”. Mr. Nitipat added
