In the latest move from a series of synergy, DTAC Mobile Business Solutions and Microsoft announce jointly today that DTAC corporate customers will be able to get email faster via DTAC PushMail service on their smart phone through Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0. This new product is expected to attract at least 100 corporate clients during the first quarter of 2006.
Mr Sigve Brekke, Chief Executive Officer, Total Access Communication Plc (DTAC), said this reflects DTAC’s proactive commitment to developing the corporate service segment. The growth in its corporate clientele testifies to the fact that DTAC has consistently introduced both voice and non-voice solutions with innovative services and technology that respond effectively to the corporate customer’s needs. DTAC has experienced 30% growth in domestic voice-services in 2005 compared to 2004; 86% growth in international roaming services and 192% growth in non-voice services during the period.

This combination of applications and hardware will enable the user to send, receive and open data, voice and image without limits to the file size, at a speed 30-40% faster, through devices at affordable prices that are available such as O2 Atom, Dupod,” said Mr Sunti.
He adds that DTAC is well-equipped with teamwork and network to support the service. “We have in place an after-sales service team and a help desk for the customer. In addition, DTAC’s network is up to the task with over 6,000 base stations nationwide, EDGE network serving Bangkok and 12 domestic airports. DTAC plans to invest 12 billion baht this year to add another 1,500 base stations to the existing network, as well as expanding EDGE in 16 major provinces”.
Mr Andrew McBean, Managing Director of Microsoft (Thailand) Ltd. said that the partnership with DTAC announced today is a significant moment in communication technology development.
