Bangkok--Jan 18--Ratchaburi Electricity
The Board of Directors of Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL. has approved the resolution on January 16, 2006 to designate Mr. Boonchoo Direksathapon to resume the position as Managing Director of the Company in full-time basis due to the EGAT’s selection of the position of CFO to fully perform the duty has been achieved.
The appointment will take effect from January 17, 2006 onward resulting Mr. Boonchoo to perform his full authority for overseeing and managing the Company’s business operation as before.
In addition, the Company reports to the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) today that on January 17, 2006 the Resolution of Board of Directors of Ratchaburi Energy Company Limited, a subsidiary, has entered the Gas Sales Agreement with PTT-Siam Exploration and Production Company Limited and PTT Exploration and Production Plc. on January 17, 2006. The natural gas is a by-product from crude oil production at Pradoo-tao Field, Sukothai Province.
The quantity of natural gas to purchase from Pradotao Field is 400,000 cubic feet at the commencing base- price of 26.65 Baht per 1 million BTU. The natural gas will be used for the 2-megawatt power generating project in Kongkrailat District, Sukothai Province. The Project will start commercially production around the end of 2006 for eight years, and the revenue expected from the Project will be 23.5 million baht annually.
