VANBIV preparing to expand on construction business to cover lucrative sectors including hospitals, industrial sector, homeowners with IAQ technology to control air quality
VANBIV Co., Ltd., Thai-Japanese joint venture company, expert in construction of industrial factory and integrated air quality control room prepares to rise to the top of the industry with latest technology Indoor Air Quality (IAQ). The company will shift expand its focus from industrial factories to hospitals and allergy patients, especially reputable private hospitals that are normally highly concerned with service quality because IAQ is not only able to contain the spread of disease and germs but also supporting good image for the hospitals in terms of safety and high service standard as advantage over their competitors.
Panjapatra Giatjagraval, President of VANBIV Co., Ltd., expert in construction of industrial factory and air quality control room, disclosed that the company was part of VAN UNION, a Thai-Japanese joint venture providing services pertaining to designing and construction of building and factory with complete engineering services according to internationally accepted standards. “The company has been awarded the ISO 9001/ 2000 and QSME standard certifications to ensure high standard of operation. Over 90% of our clients are Japanese companies and factories operating within the automotive, electronic and other industries,” he said.
“In 2006, VANBIV has set the sales target at 420 million baht with 74% of the sales coming from the automotive industry, 12% from electronic and other industries and 14% from sales of Indoor Air Quality system and other special function rooms. There will be increased investment in developing the system and technology that enhance efficient construction with plans to attract new businesses from Japan - in line with the government policy promoting greater foreign investments in the Kingdom,” he explained.
“VANBIV is also entrusted by Honeywell Systems (Thailand) Co., Ltd., leader in Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) from the United States to be distributor and installer of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) as System Integrators where technology from Honeywell will used to complete installation. The IAQ system is complicated requiring specialists with proper know how and technology to ensure efficient construction and installation. The company is the first in Thailand to be trusted by Honeywell to handle the sophisticated system completely. Clients do not need to remove the old system as we can use the technology to monitor the facility and extended portion of the facility for them, which is a good alternative to minimizing expenses. Honeywell provides us with necessary technology transfer and training, along with advice on the IAQ system,” he said.
“Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) has become increasingly important especially in the automotive and medical industries, where clean room is required for example in electronic chip production and automotive sticker production. It is known that in the medical world, there are new diseases spreading namely SARS and bird flu and in Thailand there is no system capable of controlling these diseases before. IAQ system will be a perfect tool for controlling the spread of diseases in the air. We have received interest from the medical community and various industrial groups. Even the government needs to resolve this problem more seriously,” he said.
“As for the marketing and sales of IAQ system, VANBIV will concentrate on attracting clients namely hospitals, government offices, airports and other industries demanding high level of cleanliness. Homeowners are also lucrative target customers especially those suffering from respiratory allergy and other respiratory diseases. For this particular group of clients, the suitable product is the portable unit but of course with endorsement from the doctors. Sales for IAQ for this year are set at 60 million baht or 14% of the total sales of all VANBIV businesses,” he said.
“Apart from concentrating on developing the system and technology to further excel construction, the company plans to launch programs beneficial to education and society. For a start, VANBIV will host VANBIV AWARD 2006 to allow students at vocational and university levels in the field of engineering and architecture to compete by submitting their design of worker living quarter at construction site. The design must aim at promoting and upgrading the living quality of the workers while doing the construction at the site with proper hygiene, living suitability and environmental friendliness,” he concluded.
