Kasikorn Bank Group and Foster Wheeler Corporation, three leading business organizations, today sign a contract agreement to use to DTAC PushMail, the email services and schedule arrangements on mobile phone that can help them enhance to another step of corporate communications. The contract signing receives the honor of Mr.Jon Fredrik Baksaas, President and Chief Executive Officer of Telenor, who come from Norway to preside over the contract signing ceremony.
The executives of Kasikorn Bank believe that using DTAC PushMail will help increase efficiency in receiving information and arranging schedules, so they won’t miss any important information thus able to maintain the ultimate effectiveness of communications at all time. It also helps boost the bank’s image as being the most modern financial institution in the industry.
Foster Wheeler Corporation, a multinational company which has to contact their branch offices all over the world through GPRS roaming of DTAC which is available in 55 countries from 116 operators worldwide, says it is confident that they can send and receive emails via mobile phones from everywhere, ensuring them that they won’t miss any crucial business information.
At present, DTAC has more than 6,000 base stations countrywide. For high-speed data transmission or EDGE, the network now covers throughout Bangkok areas as well as in 12 domestic airports. In 2006, DTAC will spend about 12 billion baht to expand network coverage by installing 1,500 new base stations as well as expanding EDGE network in 16 provinces to enhance efficiency in data transmission network for customers.
As for the ‘Mobile Experience Center’ -- the venue for DTAC PushMail contract signing ceremony, it is derived from coordination of the three business partners in technology including DTAC, Microsoft and Metrosystem. The concept of ‘Mobile Experience Center’ is to present the product innovations and to provide useful information to customers. It’s like a showroom which presents scenario demo of businesses that can be used in concrete practices and it will focus on providing solutions of wireless data transmission network or GPRS.
