Bangchak Petroleum Plc is set to implement Oracle’s PeopleSoft Enterprise Human Capital Management (HCM) system in an effort to manage its human capital more efficiently in line with its Electronic Human Resources (eHR) policy. The system will boost the potential growth of its people and enable them to cope with the business expansion resulting from its gasoline quality enhancement project.
Dr. Anusorn Sangnimnuan, President of Bangchak Petroleum Plc. said, “Our restructuring programme includes improving the quality of our gasoline products. With an investment of US$ 250-350 million, the refining initiative is expected to be completed by 2008. To ensure steady growth and future business advancement, we have also accelerated our corporate development by upgrading our IT systems for business management and people development.”
Concerning staff development, Bangchak has deployed the competency concept focusing on enhancing the core competency of its executives and staff in the areas of knowledge, skills and behaviour. The company will re-model its human resource-oriented IT facilities in line with the Electronic Human Resource (eHR) system by installing Oracle Peoplesoft Enterprise HCM. This innovation solution best suits today’s fast-paced working style, as its online capabilities and user-friendly interface enables employees to use it immediately, without the need for extensive training. Its comprehensive modules integrate all human management aspects to achieve workforce excellence through a more accurate, precise, fast, convenient and efficient human resource development management process.
Bangchak chose Oracle’s Peoplesoft HCM solution because of its advanced functionality and ease of use. The company will install 14 Oracle Peoplesoft HCM modules including Human Resoruces, Global Payroll Core, Time and Labor, Candidate Gateway, Talent, Acquisition Manager, eCompansation, eCompensation Manager Desktop, eProfile, eProfile Manager Desktop, eDevelopment, eBenefits, ePay, ePerformance, and HRMS Portal pack.
The project is divided into two phases. The first phase, which is targeted to go live in June 2006, will cover the various HR management applications. The second phase, planned to be operational in October 2006, will focus on payroll management.
