The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has approved the listing of City Steel Pcl., producer and distributor of metal fabrications, storage systems and first-class steel services. The company raised THB264 million at its IPO price. It will be listed in the Property and Construction Industry Group, Construction Materials Sector.
The SET approved listing of City Steel Pcl.’s common shares in the Property and Construction Industry Group, Construction Materials Sector, using “CITY” as their trading symbol. Trading will commence on February 23, 2006. CITY will be the 2nd newly-listed company on the Thai bourse in 2006.
CITY manufactures and distributes a wide variety of steel, stainless, and aluminum products and services to meet its customers’ specific needs. The company’s main clients are in the automotive and construction industries. Private and public sector clients, including large-scale projects, are key to CITY’s current strength and growth potential.
CITY has THB300 million in registered capital. It is comprised of 210 million existing shares and 90 million capital increase shares, with a par value of THB1.00 each. During February 9 — 10, 2006, the company sold its capital increase shares in its initial public offering (IPO); 89.1 million shares were sold to the public and an additional 0.9 million shares were sold to the group’s directors and employees at THB2.94 per share. BT Securities Co., Ltd. acted as the company’s financial advisor.
After the capital increase, CITY’s principal shareholders are the Phongratanadechachai family, who collectively hold 70% of the company’s stake. This includes the 33.10% stake of Mr. Wibool and Mr. Keng Phongratanadechachai and the 35.42% of Mr. Komgrich, Mr. Satit, and Ms. Suputtra.
