Big C, in partnership with Major Cineplex, Index Living Mall, Home Work and Office Depot, have teamed up to open the Power Center at Big C’s Petchkasem store. The Power Center boosts Big C’s already high levels of service and provides customers living in the Petchkasem area with a wider range of product categories to choose from. Big C is also hosting an OTOP Fair to support products manufactured by local communities in Central Thailand and believes that it will win the hearts of customers with the diverse range of products and services it offers.
According to Ms. Jariya Chirathiwat, Vice President, Marketing and Communications, Big C Supercenter PCL, today (March 1, 2006), Big C and our partners celebrate the opening of the Power Center at Big C Petchkasem, which covers a total area of over 83,200 square meters. In order to meet customer demands, the new integrated shopping center offers a comprehensive product selection in a modern facility and attractive shopping environment. It also features spacious retail facilities and plenty of room for parking.”

To mark the official opening of the Power Center and to alleviate consumers’ rising costs of living, Big C has launched the Blue Flag, Special Prices booth. In accordance with Department of Internal Trade policy, quality pork, chicken and specially selected daily necessities will be offered to customers at affordable prices throughout the month of March. In addition, Big C is hosting an OTOP Fair between March 1 and 12 to support products produced in local communities and to promote compliance of these local manufacturers with international standards. A wide range of premium OTOP products from Central Thailand, including consumer products, clothing, decorative items and souvenirs, will be available at the fair’s 60 booths. These select products meet Thai quality standards and have high export potential.
