Siam Company Limited, the energy saving technology provider, will today enter into ARAYGA distributorship agreement with Three Arrows Company Limited , the patent owner from Japan within Thailand and Southeast Asia territory. ARAYGA is the architecture ray guard used for glass and curtain wall coating with effective UV and infrared protection, which help reducing the heat from infrared and ultraviolet that is very harmful to the human skin. The product helps prevent and lessen the negative impact on the environments as well as conserves the energy in the distribution territory which located in the tropical zone with high temperature all year round.
Arpirat Kiatphaibool, Chiarman of A.T. Siam said the timing of ARAYGA launch in Thailand is in line with the current trend of architecture design including the high rise and residential buildings which use more glass or transparent materials for style, beauty and brightness purpose. However, such material use might have the health affect because of the hot climate almost all year round. It may cause the risk of skin cancer from ultraviolet as well as the heat from infrared that leads to the increasing use of air conditioners and energy waste.
A.T. Siam is the joint venture between the Thai investors and the Japanese A-DIC Company, specialized in structural design, incorporated with the aim to market ARAYGA, which has been developed and tested for its energy saving property from Japan. The company has got the exclusive distributorship from the product owner, Three Arrows Company Limited, for Thailand and the Southeast Asian region. The product has been developed by Nano Technology and currently cannot be manufactured in Thailand.
The special property of ARAYGA is its 95% UV guard and 35% infrared absorption leading to the reduction of room temperature by 2-5 degrees Celsius as well as sun light reflection. It makes the room brighter and the glass clearer, therefore, is suitable for hotels, showroom, restaurants and the buildings where the transparency of the glass is needed. Moreover, it is also very effective in energy saving and preventing the change in room temperature. It is durable and has the working life of 5-10 years.
Arpirat said the company has adopted the personal selling approach by assigning the competent sales team to contact and meet the customers as well as project engineers and architects directly to present the product information. At the same time, the company has planned a special promotion campaign with 20% discount from the original product and installation price of 1,800 baht/square meter and the after sales service by twice a year by the qualified maintenance team.
Additionally, the company has set aside about 10 million baht from its branding activities through various media such as building magazines, event organization and booth sales at various fair. The project reference includes Sri Panwa Project, Baan Issara, Rama 9 Project, Hampton Condominium, Thonglor Project, Eaton Ratchada Showroom, Toyota Siam Showroom, Honda Eke- intra Showroom etc. It anticipates 100 million baht sales in Thailand at the end of 2006.
