Mitsubishi has awarded TNT Logistics with an eight-year contract to support the automotive company’s operations in Thailand.
TNT will deploy 50 staff to manage Mitsubishi’s Wheel Sub-assembly Operation for all of the company’s vehicles at a 2,500 square metre facility in the Eastern Seaboard.
The contract, valued at around 200 million Thai Baht, adds to TNT’s growing portfolio of automotive clients in the Thai market.
“We were selected due to our global automotive logistics experience and proven capability. This is a purpose-built site which will be unique in its segment in the Thai market,” said Thailand's Business Development Director for TNT Logistics, Matthew Stimpson.
“TNT Logistics has performed extremely well in the Thai market in 2005 and we see no reason for the growth to slow down in 2006. Many Thai companies are looking to outsource their logistics operations and TNT has vast experience in efficiently handling this requirement while adding significant added benefits at the same time,” he added.
