Half-football-field-sized exiderdome is the biggest mobile trade fair in Thailand
Siemens, publicly known as major telecommunication supplier and key provider of turnkey mass transit systems, is bringing in the world’s largest industrial automation roadshow called ‘exiderdome’ to Thailand. This mobile tradeshow will be making its first appearance to the Thai press and its VIP guests on May 8th 2006 at BITEC, Bangna and will stay there until May 20th 2006. The exhibition will be open to the public during May 10th -14th 2006 when it takes part in a major industrial trade fair Intermach 2006.
exiderdome presents a completely brand new concept in modular trade fair. It comprises 50 containers which can be transported easily by land, sea or air to form a total of 900 square meters, which is equivalent to a half size of football field. The hall is divided into two floors that weigh nearly 670 tons. Forty-five trucks (approx. 1 km in a row) are needed to carry the entire infrastructure and equipment of exiderdome including two containers for power generators. The installation of exiderdome requires 34 persons for a 10-day set-up.
A not-to-be-missed highlight is the multimedia show which is a combination of art and state-of-the-art technology. Transmitting information at a speed of 625 MB per second or equivalent to flipping 25,000 pages per second, the multimedia show is projected with 7 simultaneously playing HD latest generation beamers on a 34-meter wide prism screen to give visitors an overview of the world of Siemens industrial automation.

exiderdome will visit 15 nations around the world over the next 3 years. It made its debut in Shanghai, China in November 2005 before moving to South Korea, Thailand and China again. Afterwards, it will subsequently continue to Russia, Taiwan, Japan, India, USA, Canada and Mexico.
exiderdome is the most modern mobile tradeshow concept that Siemens Automation and Drives has developed following the successful launch of exider in 2002 which used specially designed trains as exhibition on wheels that covered 70,000 kilometers of track to call on 112 cities in 24 countries until August 2004.
